Documents required for e-GP and contractor registration

Updated 16 July 2026 · Tenderytics

Most e-GP registration and contractor-enlistment applications are rejected on documents, not on the form. Getting the paperwork right the first time saves weeks. Here's the checklist bidders in Bangladesh should have ready before they start — keep clean, current, legible scans of each.

Core documents (almost always needed)

  • Trade licence — current, and matching your firm's exact legal name.
  • TIN certificate — the firm's tax identification number.
  • VAT / BIN registration — as applicable to your business activity.
  • Bank account details — and often a bank solvency certificate for financial standing.

By business type

  • Private / public limited company: certificate of incorporation, memorandum & articles of association, Form X / schedule of directors, and board resolution where required.
  • Proprietorship: the proprietor's National ID (NID), plus the trade licence in the proprietor's business name.
  • Partnership: the registered partnership deed and partners' NIDs.

For contractor enlistment (works)

Contractor enlistment with a procuring authority typically asks for more, on top of the core set:

  • Experience / completion certificates for similar past works.
  • Equipment and key-personnel details.
  • Turnover and financial statements for recent years.
  • Category and class of enlistment relevant to the work you bid for.

For goods / supply

  • Manufacturer or dealer authorisation for the products you supply.
  • Product catalogues, compliance or standards certificates where the tender requires them.

The mistakes that cause rejection

  • Trade licence name and application name differ by even a word or spelling.
  • An expired licence or renewal at the time of verification.
  • Cropped, blurry or incomplete scans.
  • Wrong category selected for what the firm actually does.

Frequently asked

Do the documents differ by tender?

Yes. The core registration set is stable, but each tender's data sheet lists its own eligibility documents — experience thresholds, authorisations, certificates. Always read the specific notice.

Do I need enlistment to bid on any tender?

Registration lets you bid on open tenders; certain works require enlistment with the relevant authority at the right category and class. Check the notice's eligibility clause.
